Passive Voice - Simple Future Tense

 

In these notes, we are going to focus on the Simple Future in the passive voice. Generally, we use the passive voice when the focus is on the action and NOT on WHO or WHAT is performing the action.


Active: They will watch a movie.

Passive: A movie will be watched by them.

Active: A mason will build a wall.

Passive: A wall will be built by a mason.

Active: A teacher will deliver a lecture.

Passive: A lecture will be delivered by a teacher.

Active: The students will obey orders of their physical trainer.

Passive: Orders of their physical trainer will be obeyed by the students.

Positive : The economic crisis will slowly be recovered.

Question : Will the economic crisis be recovered ?

Negative : The economic crisis will not be recovered.

Negative Question : Won't the economic crisis be recovered. ?


Positive : We will be given a set of instructions.

Question : Will we be given a set of instructions. ?

Negative : We will not be given a set of instructions.

Negative Question : Won’t we be given a set of instructions. ?
